“Ask as many questions as you want,” my mom told me. So, I did. 

I not only asked questions, but stated when things didn’t make sense. As it turns out, though, I was an “asker” in a dysfunctional “guess culture” pocket of society.

I always felt a deep connection to the world, but not to the people around me. In addition to being an outlier, I’m an abuse survivor; I knew I felt “bad,” but had been convinced this was “normal.” Now I know that ‘normal’ isn’t always healthy.

I’ve changed and grown over the years—but I never stopped asking questions. And as I got older, I learned how to find the answers.

When you connect with yourself, unapologetically assert your authenticity, process your feelings, recognize your values and state your goals—you know, “do the work”—you attract the answers you’re seeking. What’s more, you’ll find others who are both connected with themselves, and align with you.

If you lose yourself somewhere in time or space—then play, create and move! Change your perspective; do something different. 

One of my greatest goals is to create genuine connection, both with myself and others. So, I do the work on myself, allowing me to help others do the same.
